The mark of any good artist is their ability to grow creatively and that is exactly what Fledgling is...a full expansion of Dert's beat-making and production skills. Rigid beats are now transformed into emotive songs and bare loops into rich compositions on this landmark release. You all know Dert the producer, now get to know Dert the solo artist. And if you are not familiar with the work of this West Covina, California native, then what better project to become aquatinted with his sound. Spanning from syncopated afro beat rhythms to eclectic synth soul to raw, gritty breaks; Fledgling marks Dert's most passionate and personal work to date.
